Just bought a Fly6v, and the heavy plastic used in the packaging is extraordinarily wasteful. (I'd not have expected to see anything worse than the GoPro packaging, but I was wrong).

I agree! The packaging is very wasteful -- more durable than the product and will last thousands of years.  Should just be packaged in plain cardboard so it could be recycled (no plastic).
