That's a great idea. The old seat post is running short on real estate!

Hi guys - Fly6 is designed for the seat post not because we couldn't think of anywhere else to put it but rather that the seat post is the most stable part of the bike and it provides the most stable footage when installed there. We won't be adding any other mounting options because all the other ones we tried gave wobbly/shaky footage making the reason of having a camera pointless.

We will stick to the seat post mounting position and hope that the need for saddle bags reduces over time!
